The Cosori TurboBlaze is the air fryer to get if you're still heating a whole oven for one tray of fries. Business Insider tested a pile of air fryers and named it best overall, and TODAY's testers named it best overall too.
The trick is the motor. Lots of air fryers use a simple AC fan motor; the TurboBlaze uses a DC motor with five fan speeds, and each mode picks its own speed: high for crispy wings and fries, gentler for baking so a cake doesn't get blasted. Cosori says it cooks up to 46 percent faster than its older Pro Gen 2.
The specs that matter: a six-quart square basket that Cosori says fits about twenty wings or a four-pound chicken, temperatures from 90 to 450°F, 1,725 watts, and nine modes including air fry, roast, dehydrate, proof and keep warm. The basket and crisper plate have a PFAS-free ceramic coating and go straight in the dishwasher.
What testers found: Business Insider's tester kept it in her own kitchen. Fries came out evenly browned close to the times on the bag, wings were deep brown and crisp, and Brussels sprouts were charred outside and tender inside, with no hot spots. TODAY found it quiet, and Germany's IMTEST called it easy to use and clean.
The honest catch: it's one basket, so you can't cook a main and a side at different settings. It's big, about fourteen inches deep with the handle. Business Insider saw owner reports of the basket release button failing after months, TODAY found the crisper tray slow to cool with small foods slipping through, and Cosori says not to use turbo modes for thin, light food. And it isn't one of the models in Cosori's 2023 recall of older air fryers.
Our verdict: yes, it's the one to gift, or keep, for households of three to five who want fast, crispy, even results from one big basket that's easy to clean. If you cook two foods at once or counter space is tight, look at a dual-basket model instead.
